The Andersen Lab commissioned me to create a logo for a viral genetic sequencing software that their team developed. It was a fun concept to work with. The team named their three sequencing softwares after Norse gods and characters from the History Channels television show Vikings; iVar, Floki and Bjorn. They asked that I create marks for each to promote these open source softwares. They wanted a similar, but uniquely different look to their colleagues‘ software icons, Pangolin and Llama COV lineage.
